April was a busy month for BAM adoption and broader institutional distribution for JitoSOL. BAM stake reached ~28% of total network stake, the long-awaited Maker Priority entered early testing as BAM's first plugin, and the Jito Foundation expanded JitoSOL access across Korea. Let’s dive in!

BAM Stake Reaches 28% in Q1

 The Jito Quarterly Report for Q1 2026, published towards the end of April, showed BAM validators growing from 233 to 363 and delegated SOL rising from 59.2M to 119.3M throughout the first quarter. BAM stake increased 155% and reached 28% of total Solana network stake by quarter end. Blockworks also reported $2.33M in revenue and $19.85M in Jito tips during this time period. As of April 30, 2026, BAM total stake stands at 118M across 344 validators.

Maker Priority Enters Early Testing as BAM's First Plugin

On April 29, Jito introduced Maker Priority as the first BAM plugin, now in early testing and iteration. The plugin gives enrolled prop AMMs deterministic top-of-batch execution on a dedicated TPU port every 50 milliseconds. The design is intended to tighten spreads, deepen liquidity, and reduce duplicate quote spam from market makers. The teams behind roughly 40% of Solana spot volume and 85% of prop AMM volume helped shape the plugin.

Throughout April, the Jito Foundation released four additional BAM Builder Series episodes featuring Aphelion, AlphaQ, FlashTrade, and Switchboard. Jito Foundation Signs MOU with KODA in Korea

On April 13th, the Jito Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with KODA, South Korea's largest digital asset custodian, to expand institutional access to JitoSOL in the Korean market. The effort builds on the earlier Hanwha Asset Management collaboration, announced in Q1, around a potential Korean JitoSOL ETF. Jito and KODA will also work together on institutional outreach, education, and market access.

JET Europa Launches JET Explorer

On April 3, JET Europa launched the JET Explorer, an interactive map aggregating projects, events, and activity across all Jito Expansion Teams. The tool makes regional JET activity easier to find and gives builders a shared view of where Jito & Solana-affiliated communities are operating.

Blockworks Adds Jito Analytics Under Liquid Staking

Blockworks added Jito to its Analytics page under Liquid Staking on April 7. The addition gave the ecosystem a cleaner public reference for JitoSOL metrics, JTO data, and Jito financials, making it easier for researchers, partners, and allocators to work from the same baselines.

Market Layer Presented at House of Sol in London

On April 17th, Jito’s Market Layer vision was presented at a House of Sol roundtable in London. Organized by Kornel, growth lead for JET Europa and co-hosted with Superteam UK and 21Shares, the event brought together funds, allocators, and builders pushing the frontier of what’s possible on Solana.

Rebecca Rettig on Bloomberg Crypto

Jito Labs CLO/COO, Rebecca Rettig, appeared on Bloomberg Crypto on April 14th, to discuss regulatory clarity and institutional adoption. In the segment, Rettig said the SEC may try to codify guidance into formal rules and argued that such rulemaking would be harder to reverse than informal staff positions.

JET Europa Pitstop Returns in Berlin

The Pitstop community event returned in April, landing in Berlin after earlier stops in Paris and London. The five-day builder villa offered free accommodation, catering, and concentrated time for collaboration, giving Solana developers and ecosystem contributors a structured place to work together in person.
