Introduction

There's no doubt that a16z's announcement was the headliner for October. Excited to have industry behemoths supporting the mission of Jito to continue building core growth infrastructure for Solana. Job's not finished though. In the last month, BAM mainnet crossed 10M SOL in stake as validators continue onboarding, the Cryptoeconomics SubDAO (CSD) published its quarterly report, five new JIPs hit the governance forums, and JIP-25 passed with community support.

a16zcrypto $50M Strategic Investment

On October 16, 2025 the Jito Foundation announced that the crypto arm of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz had made a $50M strategic investment in Jito! With BAM live on mainnet, Jito's growing momentum across DeFi, and institutional adoption continuing to accelerate via JitoSOL ETFs, things are just getting started.

BAM Crosses 10M+ in SOL Staked

Excited to share that BAM mainnet crossed 10M+ SOL during the last week of the month!

Did you know, you can find all BAM content on the dedicated BAM blog (bam.dev) including a monthly roundup series! The first BAM roundup was published last month, so look out for the October one dropping shortly.

Governance Updates

October was a busy month on the governance front. On October 8, 2025 JIP-25 passed with a total of 10.13M ‘Yes’ and 707k ‘No’ votes. Read the full JIP here which proposed changes to StakeNet eligibility and scoring as well as expanding the validator set to 400 (from the prior 200).

Additionally, five JIPs were put up for community discussion on the Jito Network forum.

JIP-27: Introduce Directed Staking to the Jito Stake Pool

JIP-28: Accelerate BAM Adoption

JIP-29: Update the NCN Grants Programme and Commit to Futarchy Experimentation

JIP-30: Ensure JitoSOL Participation in Solana Level Governance 

CSD Quarterly Report

On October 21, 2025 the CSD Quarterly Update was published providing a comprehensive update on the progress of the Cryptoeconomics SubDAO (CSD). Among other things, the report announces that 100% of Jito Network revenue will be used for continuous JTO buybacks with $2.5M executed to date. 

Key Takeaways from the CSD Quarterly Update:

• 100% of Block Engine & future BAM fees now flow to the DAO treasury

• 100% of DAO-generated revenue will be deployed toward continuous JTO buybacks

• $2.5M in JTO buybacks have been executed since August 2025

• three core mechanisms are being built & handed to the DAO for programmatic value accrual

• monthly buybacks will match 100% of previous month's revenue generation & continue indefinitely, subject to DAO approval

JitoSOL listed on BitGo

On October 29, 2025 BitGo listed JitoSOL! Institutions can now stake and unstake directly from custody or self-custody hot wallets, while maintaining access to Solana DeFi and benefiting from BitGo’s trusted security and infrastructure. BitGo is one of the largest institutional staking platforms in the world, securing more than $25 billion in assets staked across 50+ protocols.

Ecosystem Incentives

On October 20, 2025 new token incentives were launched for the JitoSOL-ONyc LP on Kamino via Orca. All depositors are eligible to earn a share of 5k JTO and 1.5k ORCA per month alongside 10x OnRe points boosts.

LovePIPE from Pipe Network

On October 15, 2025 the LovePIPE LST went live on the Jito (Re)staking platform. LovePIPE is the native LST of Pipe Network, a decentralized CDN on Solana delivering high-quality content at lower latency and cheaper costs. JET Takes Flight

On October 13, 2025 the Jito Expansion Team (JET) launched. The program is a network of autonomous regional teams accelerating Jito Network adoption worldwide. JET is seeking individuals in four regions, with starting cohorts based in Europe, Japan, South Korea, and the USA, with more to come in the future!

DAS 2025 - London
